Water and Food: Bring at least two bottles of water or hydration pack, extra food or energy bars.

Helmet and Clothing: Helmets are required for this and all Bayside Adventure Sports mountain bike rides. Proper clothing and shoes for the weather conditions will make your ride that much more enjoyable.

Ride Report:

New Years Day - January 1, 2009

27 hardy souls brave the cold, chilling, fog for a superb day of Granite Bay fun!

TOP TEN most common lies mountain bikers tell....

1. We’ll be home in plenty of time for an early dinner.

2. It’s all downhill from here.

3. The trail looks steeper than it really is.

4. It’s only technical in "spots"

5. There are only a few short hike-a-bike sections.

6. That was an easy climb, I'm not even tired.

7. Don’t worry, I know these trails.

8. Oh yeah, it's rideable, my mom rode that last week.

9. I’m not lost, just a little turned around.

10. The top of the hill is just around the next corner.
