Intro to Backpacking Trip
June 1-2, 2019
If you are new to backpacking and want to try out a one-night trip, this is a great way to get introduced with an experienced leader! If you attended our Backpacking 101 classes in May, this will be a great way to put the information you learned into practice!
FOR: All beginning backpackers (ages 14+ or by leader approval)
WHERE: Jake Schneider Meadow or Government Meadow (depending on whether we want to walk 2.5 miles or 3.5) near Caples Creek in El Dorado County.
We will meet at noon June 1 at the Caples Creek Trailhead.just beyond the campground.
Parking is limited, but at least 6 cars will fit at the trailhead. The hike won’t be difficult for novices, but the location will provide a good example of the scenic wonders of the mountains.
COST: Members: $25/person, Non-Members: $30/person
Come to our free Backpacking 101 class on Monday, May 20 - 6:45pm at Bayside Adventure Campus - www.meetup.com/BAS-G1Outdoors/events/259835081/
