How To Get Involved

Who Can Participate? We are a ministry of Bayside church - but all are welcome to participate with us! If you are a first time camper or a world class athlete, Bayside Adventure Sports has something for you - all ages and all abilities. Our desire is to build relationships, get you excited about being outdoors, and experience God in wonderful ways. (We do ask that minors come with a parent/guardian or other adult as we do not have systems in place to have unsupervised youth.)

Participation with Bayside Adventure Sports is free, it’s our ministry to use Adventure Sports to attract and attach people to Jesus & His Church.
  • As a Non-Profit Organization, we have the cost of overhead & liability insurance to cover, so we ask participants to consider a tax-deductible donation
  • We also offer an Annual Membership that includes a 25% discount on events with a cost as well as discounts at more than 20 local sponsors. See the membership page for details and to join.

Safety & Risk Management

Bayside Adventure Sports (BAS) activities are provided as not-for-profit services, designed to benefit the community by facilitating group access to outdoor recreation and as a vehicle for Christian outreach. Unless specifically noted otherwise in BAS event descriptions, all participants must be independently capable of participating in all elements of each activity, without requiring aid or assistance from volunteers, administrators, or other participants. BAS volunteers serve as hosts and coordinators, and are not professional guides, instructors, or medical providers.

Participants must read the entire description for all BAS events in which they choose to participate, including all associated information provided on the BAS website and any communications from BAS or its volunteer hosts or coordinators. All participants must possess sufficient knowledge, skills, and experience to understand and acknowledge the inherent risks of any BAS activity in which they choose to participate, including risks inherent to the environment and risks associated with performing specific outdoor recreation activities in proximity to other participants. Participants, including volunteer hosts and coordinators, are each responsible for their own conduct, including performing only those activities for which they possess sufficient knowledge, skill, and experience to successfully complete without causing injury to themselves or others.

All participants are responsible for providing or coordinating their own transportation to and from any BAS activity in which they choose to participate. All participants are responsible for providing any and all equipment necessary to independently complete any BAS activity in which they choose to participate. Any agreements between participants to share or provide equipment or transportation, including agreements made between participants and volunteer hosts or coordinators, shall be made entirely between such parties and shall not include any implication of BAS endorsement of or involvement in said agreements. All participants are responsible for the quality and serviceability of any equipment employed during any BAS activity, including any equipment shared between participants, volunteer hosts, or coordinators.
