Intern

Picture
This program is for the College student who has a passion and love for outdoor ministry. We will spend the entire summer developing skills and putting them into immediate practice, serving others through various A2A Camps and BAS Adventures.

Bayside Adventure Sports will not be granting any form of financial allowance. However, Interns will be hosted in homes providing meals and living quarters. Please contact intern@Baysideadventuresports.com for any additional questions.

  • Training.  Interns will become certified in First Aid and CPR. In addition, they will receive special training for wilderness and waterfront settings. They will be certified to belay top rope climbing, set up of rappels, and learn a plethora of knots. They will be learning the local history and ecology. Interns will be physically training as well. It is imperative that they maintain good health, are able to lead groups, and have enough stamina to go above and beyond, especially if an emergency situation were ever to arise.

  • Discipleship.   The spiritual growth of the intern is extremely important. Interns will be leading devotions and pouring into students spiritual needs. One can only do this by giving from the overflow. Therefore, interns will meet with the Leaders (Erik and Greg) on a regular basis as well as each other for accountability and encouragement.

  • Facilitation.  Interns will have the opportunities put into practice there skills and training. Interns will facilitate as guides on two weeks of Access 2 Adventure camps, as well as numerous single and multiple day adventures (under the supervision of Erik Allen).

  • Serving.  Interns must be servant hearted. Interns will be participating in various BAS events with the purpose of serving in what ever ways might arise. Being affiliated with Bayside Church, there will be opportunities to assist with various activities. Interns must be available and willing to serve with positive attitudes.

  • Fun.  The internship will be FUN! Days will be packed with adventures and relationships will be built that will last a lifetime.
