YOSEMITE RESOURCES - WINTER

WHAT’S OPEN IN YOSEMITE VALLEY FOR THE WINTER:  For the 2017 trip, we did some research and found that the website for Yosemite, www.TravelYosemite.com, was not completely accurate.  The new Concessioner,  Aramark, is still catching up with all that is involved in hosting everything in Yosemite Valley.  We are currently researching to find out current information - but this is what we have found on the website so far:
BUSSES ARE RUNNING
  • The free shuttle busses are running all day long, about every 30 minutes, so this is the easiest way to travel around the Valley.

HALF DOME VILLLAGE DETAILS (updated 12/27/17 - click here  for official Yosemite website for more details and updates)
  • The “Guest Lounge” or large room with the fire place, is open 8am to 10pm.  We will plan to relax in there after dinner in the evenings.  Bring your favorite board game or card game or just plan to sit and talk.  Adventure Sports Pastor, Greg Weisman, will offer a daily devotional there each evening at 8pm.
  • The Pizza Deck is open from 5pm to 9pm on Weekends.  Not able to find out if they will be open on Monday, President’s Day.  This will be the only location at Half Dome Village for purchasing a hot dinner.
  • The Grocery Store & Souvenir Shop is open every day, 8am to 8pm. Gift Shop, Grocery, Camp Supplies, ATM
YOSEMITE VILLAGE DETAILS
  • The The Grocery Store & Souvenir Shop is open every day, 8am to 10pm. Groceries, Meat and Produce, Camping Supplies, Postcards, Souvenirs, Apparel Ice, Firewood, ATM
  • Degnan’s Kitchen - Authentic delicatessen sandwiches, signature salads, artisan pizzas, breakfast favorites, coffee / espresso drinks, fresh donuts, baked goods and a wide selection of soft drinks and other beverages are available at Degnan's Kitchen. Numerous seating areas are available to relax and enjoy a quick meal.  Open 7am-6pm
  • The Loft at Degnan's - Mexican fare, Asian rice bowls and artisan pizzas served in a loft style restaurant above Degnan's Kitchen. Open 1pm-8pm
  • The Yosemite Visitor Center & Museum is open 9am to 5pm
  • The Majestic Yosemite Hotel, formerly called The Awahnee Hotel, has a restaurant open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.  The Bar Lounge has a light menu. There is a Sweet Shop open 7am-10pm with snacks and sweets.

YOSEMITE VALLEY LODGE 
  • The Mountain Room Restaurant (sit-down, nice restaurant) is open 5pm to 10pm for dinners.
  • The Garden Terrace - Casual Dining - Open 7am to 8pm
  • The Mountain Room Lounge is open for appetizers M-F 4:30pm to 11pm and Sat/Sun from 12pm to 11pm. 
  • Yosemite Valley Lodge Gift Shop is open 8am to 8pm. Souvenirs, Apparel, Books, Snacks, Convenience Items
